Most Disliked
While the majority of diners love The Hidden Egg, some reviews highlight minor drawbacks. A few guests have mentioned that the cafe can get quite busy during peak morning hours. This can lead to longer wait times, which, while understandable, can be frustrating for those in a hurry.
Additionally, some visitors find the cafe's layout a bit unusual due to its placement within a liquor store. This might not be a typical setting for everyone, and those unfamiliar can initially feel a bit out of place. A clearer indication of the cafe's entrance could enhance the initial experience for newcomers. However, once inside, the cozy atmosphere quickly makes up for it.

This is a great place for a breakfast sandwich and coffee in the morning. They now are offering lunch with sandwiches, paninis and always have daily specials. The vibe is casual with both indoor and outdoor seating. Is golfcart accessible to Sun City residents. The staff is very friendly and you'll feel at home quickly. Highly recommended!

Good is great. Don’t miss this quick stop for breakfast. It shares space with the liquor store. You are not lost.

I usually order food and request half of what’s on it be removed. I ate my Cuban without making any changes, and I’m glad I did! The sandwich was amazing AND I especially appreciated how they rustically cut the ham. MAJOR YUM!!!

We stopped here for breakfast on our way from Savannah to Charleston. And we are SO HAPPY we did. Yes, it is a counter in what is otherwise a liquor store, but the food was DELICIOUS. We had biscuit sandwiches and one person had pancakes. Everything was great, the staff was friendly and chatted with us. I would swing this direction if we‘re ever down here againg FOR SURE.

I’ve always loved this place for breakfast, so I was excited to hear they’ve started serving lunch. I tried the Italian panini, and it was fantastic. You can tell they put the same care into lunch as they do breakfast. Friendly service and a warm atmosphere make it a great spot any time of day.

Amazingly kind staff, food came quick. Overall, it was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in my life. The staff were just so sweet and kind. There's also a liquor shop if you wanna get a lil tipsy after or during breakfast lol

We happened upon The Hidden Egg while looking for a quick yummy breakfast before driving back to NC. We stopped with 8 people and had our breakfast in hand within minutes! Breakfast sandwiches, burritos and even pancakes! We all enjoyed our food and will definitely be back on the way to HHI. A hidden gem inside Daddy O’s!
